En avant is a small breeding and training operation located on Maryland's Eastern Shore. We are in the business of developing young sporthorses; crossing both warmblood and thoroughbred mares and stallions to create all around athletes. We don't work with any one breed registry exclusively, but, pride ourselves on producing good, rideable horses that can excel in a variety of disciplines. Our youngsters regularly win and place at such prestigious breed shows as Dressage at Devon. More importantly, they grow up to become successful show horses. Our horses are started correctly and we regularly take in outside horses to do the same for clients. Although we don't always advertise it, we are quite good at correcting bad training and handling of other people's horses.
The horses of En Avant reside at Coverley Farm, conveniently located just off Rt. 50 outside of the town of Easton. Coverley is a full service dressage facility owned and managed by Kent and Bonnie Thomas.
The stallions, Innkeeper and Scimitar are the backbone of our breeding program and we are very proud of them. Our stallions are breeding horses, but, they are still active competitors in the show world; sane and sound. We hope that their offspring will continue their legacy
